"Rhinoceros Wine" contemporary figurative painting

This is my first painting after 3 months of doing collage.  I am pleased with the results and very excited about painting for a while.  I had been painting impasto with straight paint.  Now I am using medium which will allow me to use thin layers for softer transitions and more complex colors.
