"Flower Singing to the Moon" contemporary figurative painting

Many years ago, my mother told me about a dream she had. "There was this flower, and it was just a singing.  But every time I walked up to it, it would stop and look at me.  Then I would step back, and it would start singing again. It just sang and sang."

It was a cute story, and I had intended to paint a cute picture of it, but once I started, the painting took on a life of its own, and image became a little cold and scary.  That's how dreams happen though.  You really don't have that kind of control over them.
