"Backyard at Night" contemporary figurative painting

I am working long hours to complete some other projects.  I stepped out to the backyard at midnight to rest my eyes and mind, and within seconds I had looked up at a tree and realized I would spend the rest of the night painting.  Thus, I unexpectedly began painting my first landscape using the plein air technique, sort of.  Actually, I sketched outside in the dark as best I could and painted inside by running in and out to verify colors.  The cloud cover was low, thick and heavy, and the sky was glowing from the light of the city.
