"Charon the Ferryman" contemporary figurative mosaic

Charon is the ferryman that carries the souls of the dead across the river Styx in Greek mythology.  This mosaic is a quick study for a larger mosaic I am doing.  I was trying to work out the relation between the size of pixels/tiles and the elements of the design
